Tapdancer

Posted on November 27th, by Chris Morgan in Photography. No Comments

This was a little rust stain on the ground. I first saw a little cartoon-style character but it has been pointed out that he seems to be tapdancing!

Homer’s Ancestor?

Posted on November 13th, by Chris Morgan in Photography. No Comments

This is one of my favourite images! It looks to me like a very definite ancestor of Homer Simpson. Of course, not everyone will see that but a face, it is! It is on the side of a building, it’s just paint peeling off… Amazing what nature can do!

Albert Hall

Posted on November 13th, by Chris Morgan in Photography. No Comments

In the summer of 2013 Manchester hosted its brilliant biennial International Festival.  One of  the highlights was the great actress Maxine Peake performing Shelley’s ‘The Masque of Anarchy’ (about the Peterloo Massacre) in The Albert Hall (I didn’t know Manchester had one!)

After the performance the madding throng, who had lapped up and hung onto her every word, were making their way down the stairs, myself among them. As I reached the top of the stairs, being jostled on all sides, I happened to look in front of me at the wall opposite and there he was, the little face you see in this photo. I managed to get a quick couple of shots which weren’t that great but it was my only opportunity. I think he was what remained when a light fixture had been removed as the building was undergoing extensive restoration work at … Read More »

I think the title says it all!

Lonehorse

Posted on November 13th, by Chris Morgan in Photography. No Comments

I saw this in the strangest of places- in the lavatories of a small French bar in Seville! It is a detail on a tile on the wall behind the toilet. It’s a little scatch or a chip in the ceramic. Anyway, I saw a lone horse out in a field. Others have seen a big bird, something like a vulture… The point is to decide for yourself what you see!

Ballerina

A bit of sticking tape lying in the road that was trying to be a ballerina!

Man in the Moon

Posted on November 10th, by Chris Morgan in Featured, Photography. No Comments

I had been walking past this circle of paint for many months before stopping one day to actually look at it. I saw a “Puck”- like figure pointing to the right. Can you see what I mean? Other times I see more of an outline of a face, dark and light. Others it is merely the moon!

Converse Toecap Stain

Posted on November 10th, by Chris Morgan in Photography. No Comments

This is one ofr my favourite images. One day last summer I happened to look down and saw this smudgy stain on my shoe. On closer inspection I saw this image, I was stunned that something so like a drawn face had occurred naturally without any human intervention. It is images like this that keep me looking all around me for more!
