Fence Monkey

Posted on November 14th, by Chris Morgan in Art, Photography. No Comments

I was out in the garden recently just chatting on my mobile phone when I spotted this cheeky monkey in our fence, albeit upside down! If nature ever tried to imitate a monkey, this is it!

Old Guy

This image struck me as being quite old man-like. I particularly like the downturned mouth. It was made of concrete on the ground.

Burlface

This chubby faced chap was in the burl of a tree in the Triana district of Seville.

Dancing Cat

This delightful little cat (if you see that!) can be seen by anybody who goes to Tavira Island and walks past Sal restaurant and follows the path to the beach. It is on the path and I had seen it many times but never stopped to look at it properly. I love it!

Where is she going and where has she been?

Posted on November 14th, by Chris Morgan in Art, Photography. No Comments

I think this mysterious little figure has an almost fairy-tale like quality to  her. She looks like she is on her way somewhere, by the looks of it she’s on a serious errand… She was on a bridge I walked over every day in Seville and she caught my attention. I think she is no more than a little bit of spilled paint. She is so much more than that now!

Airline Man

Posted on November 14th, by Chris Morgan in Art, Photography. No Comments

A quick tip; look at this image from a distance, a few feet away should do it. This is a great example of finding something purely by accident. I had been putting air in my tyres at a service station on the motorway between Seville and Portugal when I saw this image. It is actually the remnants of a sticker on the air compressor machine of the airline. I saw such a definite face looking through a window that I had to get a shot of it. I think it’s an amazing image! Location: Huelva, Spain.

Betty Boop

This little face was on the ground and made of cement or stone. It reminds me of Betty Boop for some reason!

Riverside Man

Posted on November 14th, by Chris Morgan in Art, Photography. No Comments

This scary looking man was just a couple of inches long and was made from road paint that had been driven over thousands of times. I spotted him while standing outside the Riverside Bar in Tavira, Portugal, hence the name. Sadly he has now been painted over as the last time I was there the council were re-painting all the road lines.

Memories of the Tour de France (Yorkshire Style!)

Back in July I had the rare pleasure… Of crossing them moors in the Yorkshire weather…. A bike race, they said, was coming this way…. They’d started in Leeds on the previous day…

Free Trains & Doughnuts

Last week I was a parent. No, I didn’t become one, I was one. Well, a guardian is I think the correct term. My wife and I took her 12 year old niece and her best friend, also 12, to Portugal for a week.
